Hi! Hallo, Hei, Hola, However you want to say it, I'm Dani.

Before finding myself in the business of photography, I had so many jobs I think I have lost count. My CV is so colourful you need sunglasses just to get close! My first real job was in a fashion clothes shop, and I hated it. Me and fashion just never quite found each other, I’m more of a comfy clothes, knee deep in mud (or now snow!) with practical shoes sort of person. This helps when you need to scale a tree to get that perfect angle. Mountains and water have always called to me, and after developing a strange love of snow I swapped my life in the south of the UK, for a much better one, at least I think so, in northern Norway.

Loves

Hot chips are life! closely followed by coffee. Mines a caramel macchiato with all the trimmings if you’re stopping at Starbucks!
I think the best time of day is super early in the morning, before everyone else is awake. Its so peaceful and has the most beautiful light for photography! Don’t be surprised if I suggest we all go out before dawn for an adventure. It also has the added benefit of making you seem super productive in a day if you start early you can get so much more done, or just take a nap at lunch I mean who doesn’t like a nap?
I’m a huge podcast fan and its usually something photography related, just ask what I’m listening too I will always recommend something. Alternatively fantasy fiction books are my biggest procrastination tool. I have been known to download an audio book just so I don’t have to put my book down to do those mundane everyday tasks.

01.

I left the UK with less than £100 in my bank, zero language skills, all for a dream of something bigger!

So spontaneity in my own life wasn't really a thing I did, until one day I decided to up and leave everything I ever knew in search of adventure. I had met my partner six months before, been thrown together during covid lockdown, and had less than 48 hours to make it through Europe before borders closed again.......all with two horses, and a cat, having spent the very last of my money on the move. It has been tough, but its absolutely been worth every second!

02.

Bucket list travel destinations.

• Bhutan
• Antarctica
• Patagonia
• Peru

I have always been fascinated by......

Earth processes.... yes I know that's super nerdy!
It's the reason I started to study my Earth Science degree 2 years ago, and partly why I am putting a large part of my business into being eco friendly, and sustainability programs. I remember back to school where geography was probably the only subject that actually held my attention, and the first time I stood at the top of a volcano being the first real time I felt passionate about photography. There is nothing more beautiful than what surrounds us on this planet!
